Many studios focus on aural or other “fast improvement” techniques with flashy lights, or screen interfaces. We value collaboration with your real, living teacher. And we teach you songs that YOU want to learn, so you want to practice AND keep coming back.
Visual, Audio, and Kinesthetic learning creates a connection to music, while repetition of these tools leads our students to success. We find out what modes work best for that technique and we repeat until it becomes second nature.
A reason to learn keeps that fire burning in all of our students. In person recitals and featured social media posts keeps our learners engaged and progressing.

I’ve always loved to sing and I wanted to accompany my voice as a child, so I begged for piano lessons. Too expensive at first, I memorized songs to repeat – over and over. Later, I began trading baby-sitting and yard work for piano lessons and voice lessons. Not only was I increasing my musical ability, I was working hard to do so!
High School lead me to sing in top choirs and at solofests, perform in musicals, solo in church, and play piano for everything (pep rallies, homecoming, community events.) At one point, some of the kids in my choir class asked me for help singing. I’d already had 3 or 4 different vocal coaches at that point, so my head was swimming with info. I already had musical theatre training, jazz training, and classical/opera training all by age 15. And by helping my classmates, I was becoming a teacher.
It’s many years later, and I’ve taught literally hundreds of children, some of them all in one room! I landed many gigs with adults, too. As a musical director, piano accompanist, and instructor, I’ve been lucky to teach children and adults of all ages, proficiency levels, and personalities. Teaching is my favorite thing to do. I am so happy to share what I know.
